Beginning March 1, ClearBox Strategies will begin using the sprint methodology for our project delivery. The Sprint Methodology also informs our retainer packages and pricing. We’ve been working with and testing this since July of 2022, and we are confident that it will deliver more work for you with better quality, and a clearer timeline for the completion of your projects. We’re giving you some background here to help you understand Sprint and how you can leverage our new method of project delivery.
What is the Sprint Methodology?
The Sprint methodology, also known as Scrum, is an approach to project management that emphasizes collaboration, flexibility, and continuous improvement. It is commonly used in software development but can be applied to many other types of projects as well.
In a Sprint, a team works on a specific set of tasks or goals for a fixed period of time, typically two to four weeks. During this time, the team meets regularly to discuss progress, identify and address any roadblocks, and adjust their approach as needed. The goal is to produce a tangible result or "deliverable" at the end of each Sprint that can be reviewed and evaluated.
Sprint points, also known as story points, are a way of estimating the effort required to complete a task or goal. Rather than using traditional time-based estimates, which can be inaccurate or arbitrary, Sprint points are based on the complexity and uncertainty of the task, as well as the team's past experience with similar tasks. This allows for more accurate planning and tracking of progress and helps the team to identify areas where they may need additional support or resources.
Overall, the Sprint methodology is designed to promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement, and to help teams work more efficiently and effectively toward their goals.
